I have been having massive problems with my Cox Cable connection, lately. Anyone else using Cox Cable in the Las Vegas area having problems?

Cox sucks lately, but I'm not in Vegas
They turned me off twice saying my computer was infected and sending out trojans to other hosts ... and I wasn't even using the service during that time

Mine goes out for a couple minutes every few days.. nothing major.
Did you try 383-4000 and check for system outages
I got that number memorized when they always used to fuck up before

I'm not familiar with that number. I haven't had any communication with Cox since they installed the cable when I moved in. It's 9:15PM now and my internet connection just started working. It's been like that for several days.Originally posted by OzMan

You shouldn't be holding too long for tech support this time of night. There is a Russian dude there that really knows his stuff. If you get him you will be sorted out in a couple minutes.

I'm in Oklahoma and my connection has been disconnecting/reconnecting on its on every night. Last night I was down for 10 minutes. I also have a friend who is an hour away and he has been having the same problems.

I went down last night, but it ws my cable modem itself that took a shit..I tore the poor fucker's head off when I called Cox because he kept telling me there was no problem when there was...but they sent a guy out with a new modem today and it's working fine for me ever since...

this is somewhat unrelated, but I am on charter (charter/cox = same company) and the place i used to live had problems once or twice a week. I mean literally, they would send a tech out on day, he would fix it, and a day or 2 later it was fucked again.
There were several instances where my information(address, acct etc) got deleted out of there systems and shit...
The place im at now, never had a single problem. i am the first house after the node or whatever its called, and noone in my subdivision uses the cable service, so my shit is blazing fast!!! about 1MB down, over what they offer
