I'm looking fowards to next Sats programme about Motown.. I was brought up on Motown, Stax, Atlantic and all the original stuff.. My collection of around 7000 records, goes back to Ben E King and Spanish Harlem, Ray Charles and Hit the road Jack and even more
Being my age, almost 57, I've had the pleasure of seeing many of the great soul stars in concert over the years. Through my dj'ing in London clubs and doing a little for the old Radio London from the mid 70's to early 80's, I made great friendships with Edwin Starr, David Ruffin of the Temptations and Harry Ray of the Moments three guys who've departed the world now but left great legacies, amongst many others.
So this series may bring the odd tear or two to this old mans eyes ....
