    CCBILL linking fuck-up

    I am an affiliate!
    Scenario:
I have a console that links to five different sites, but with the same sponsor. ( I have a different CCBILL affiliate ID for each site )
When the user hits the first site, he will get my ID in a cookie or what ever CCBILL does to handle this... If he decides not to make a buy, and carries on to the next site ( through my other CCBILL referring link ) he will NOT get my ID for that site... OH NO.. He will still have the ID from the first site ( which has nothing to do with the second site )...
So... If he makes the buy now on the second site... I will NOT get paid - AND the site owner will get paid in FULL...

Any thoughts on how to solve this?

Why would you have a different affiliate code for each site? You signed up to the program 5 times?

Sign up once, and use the proscribed links, and you will get credit at all of the sites. No need to blame ccbill nor ccbill sponsors.

I am pretty sure you get paid -
I often get sales to partners where the code is not one of mine - So I can only assume that the surfer picked up that code while surfing another site, and when finally getting to my site and joining, the cookie was counted by ccbill.

I am not 100% sure about this, but how to explain non partner codes ending up in my stats?

I think he?s saying he links to 5 different sites from the sponsor, each with a unique affiliate ID not from 5 of his sites to the same sponsor site with 5 different affiliate ID?S

So in other words if he logs into his ccbill affiliate admin, all the sites are listed in there with there own affiliate ID

But it's getting late here "sleepy" i could be wrong lol

                      Hi

Got a answer on this last week from support and they told me that it was a bug in the prog
i reported it the same day in the admin as bug but it still didnt get reviewed yet

So lets see how long that takes

                      Liveplaygirls
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

the only way to get 5 different affiliate ids is if he signed up to the program 5 times. Otherwise the only variable in the code is the redirect. For example:

                        http://refer.ccbill.com/cgi-bin/clic....com/mainp.htm

                        http://refer.ccbill.com/cgi-bin/clic....com/mainp.htm

Once the surfer picks up the cookie, the cookie is for all pages running through the program's account (in this case 904064)
                        The XXXXXX will stay consistant.

Ok but I have seen a few programs that you need to signup for each site separately, so you when you signup and merge them into your ccbill affiliate account each has their own ID
Right or am i missing something here?

if you DO NOT merge the accounts (since sometimes ya gotta deal with programs like this), you are NOT getting credit for your sales?

I'd be interested in learning which program this is.

The whole point of a 'program' is to make it easy for an affiliate to promote all of your sites. Grouped accounts should be a given- I cant understand why they would not be.

In any case, the program owner should not be forwarding your surfer to another of their sites, unless the accounts are grouped.

If this is happening, then find a new sponsor who will give you the credit that you deserve for your traffic.

Exactly. Some programs have the cookie set as long as 180 days. I don't understand how the 2nd site wouldn't be passing the new referral code. If the original cookie isn't valid for the 2nd site, it should credit the 2nd referral ID.

Like Emma said, what program is this?

LOL This post was funny. I always die laughing when webmasters post againts ccbill or other strong companies when they dont know what the hell they are talking about or done the least bit of research.

If they have five sites they are all under the same master account so it does not matter. You get paid on all of them. Once your surfer hits the second joinpage on the same master account.. you will get paid. Your arguement was proof that that you get paid under this system.

As for sponsors giving you five different codes... if they run there stats and affiliate program directly through ccbill they have to. CCbill produces the linking url... not the sponsor (unless its a larger program that has new urls programed for you)

Its the same url, but with a different site and sub account. However, its all billed through the main account. You dont even have to have the the sub-account in your url to get credit for as many different sites within one program. Our account is 918046-0000 - 0020 If you sent traffic to all 20 of our sites without using the sub account number you will still get credit for the sales. All you need is the master account number and the site destination in the urls. You may not see which site you sold, but you will get credit.. even without the sub account number.

Bottom line... you get full credit on what you discribe above. I bet you dont get much response out of ccbill when you call... how could they even respond to that?

                                              haha!

Sorry buddy, I just really found this funny. I really mean no offense at all.

If you need a hand.. hit me up. Got tons and tons of ccbill experience.

Gazool, when a webmaster sets up an affiliate program through CCBill, their affiliates are able to use 1 affiliate code to send and get credit for, traffic sent to any site under that program.

If you feel that this is not the case, then please contact the administrator of the program in question, they can escalate it to us, if needed. However, I doubt that it will get to that point.

I believe that your thread title is VERY misleading and unwarranted
