    What a pain in the ass.

    I lost a 200gb drive that was full of client projects and data. Thank God I still have all of the masters but what a huge undertaking it is going to be to recreate these files.

    I had a virus move through my network so I backed up all the needed data files prior to formatting and re-installing everything....BUT...The drive that I backed up to somehow became corrupted.

    Lots of person projects and intense PSD files on there as well.

                      No. I have had smaller and similar problems in the past and never had any luck with those programs. I am salvaging what I can...About 17gigs worth.....Then gonna reformat it.

                                  I lost a server and 80 gigs or so of shit a last week. Wouldn't have been a big deal if it hadn't been my main box. Still trying to recover from that and my week off for surgery.

                                                  That's brutal. I back stuff up on DVD pretty regularly, but even copying everything back over into the folder structure would be a nightmare.

                                                      yeah I had this once, lost a lot of stuff so it showed me the value of backing up weekly wich I am doing now.

                                                                  I recovered my drive and they put it all on dvd's for me in 24 hours.

                                                                          Yeah....I'm aware of companies like this but we are talking about a hard drive full of porn and I have heard horror stories about nosey repair people who stir up shit when they find porn on hard drives.
