The "small c" Cons
where the old Progressive Conservatives(Tories) until they merged with the larger "Reform" party which controls this new merged "conservative" party. The "Reform party" is full of religous whackos. If the conservative party was truly the old "PC" then maybe they wouldn't be so scary.
The fact still remains that the majority of Canadians are CENTER-LEFT, of which the Liberals represent the CENTER and the BQ, NDP & GREEN represent the LEFT. So you basically you would have the minority right-wing (Bush-loving) Cons representing a small fraction of the Canadian people in power over the entire country. So regardless if you are right-wing or left-wing, I believe the ruling party should represent the majority of the people (DEMOCRACY) which is NOT the Cons.
