did you mean GIA instead of GIM? what's good about the stone you bought is that, there will always be a market for it incase times get rough.. its a quality stone. if you purchased something like J color, SI2, you wont find anyone lining up to buy it.
also see if the dealer you bought from will allow you to "upgrade" the stone. this way you could give the stone back at the price you paid, and receive that price as a deposit on a larger stone. many private jewelers do this that stand behind their merchandise.
