Ahh.. I see.

Here in Sweden, most merchants taking cards have upgraded their systems so customers can use "PIN-only mode", let's just hope they begin doing that where You are as well.

For example:
In supermarkets here they have terminals at the cashier where I first swipe my card and then enter my PIN.
I'm only using my Epassporte Electron in such places and at the ATM's, works flawlessly.

But I would probably get the same problem as You if I tried to use it in some small store where they usually ask for a signature on the receipt.
Such places can only handle cards considered CREDIT cards well I think.

It would probably work if You insisted they bill the card in "credit mode" though - however, I think they're reluctant to do so because they consider it a fraud-risk..
(in theory, someone could then have a fake card that seems legit, walk out the store with the goods whilst the merchant later learns that it was a fraud).

So, like I wrote: only use it where they have PIN-based methods and just hope that more places install such terminals etc.

Put the blame for problems as these on Your stores etc. and not Epassporte...
It's a great product & service
