Well they are building it on their land. I don't know if you're up on your international law but the West Bank, Golan Heights and Gaza were captured during a defensive war. This means that they are now sovereign Israeli territory.
The reason behind that law is to stop agressive states from launching spurious attacks on others, like the Arabs did to teh Israelis, so that there's a chance they may have to pay a price for their agression.
For an example, if Canada was to invade the USA and the USA repelled the attack by counter-invading Canada, the USA could keep the part of Canada they had taken as their own as legitimate spoils of a defensive war.

In the case of Israel and the surrounding Jordyptian ("Palestinian") territory, Israel agreed to give back the land in return for peace. However, the Palis did not fulfil a single one of their obligations under the roadmap and therefore the ISraelis were left with no choice but to build the wall. And it has been a resounding success.
The Palis may whine and stupid Westerners may get sucked in to feeling sorry for them but at the end of the day, if all you want to do is murder Jews and throw their bodies into the Mediterranean, you might have to pay a price for this.
With Israel's arsenal of weapons, they could have just wiped the "Arab world" off the map. However, they chose not to do so. If the Palis had the Israelis' arsenal do you think they would have held back? They have shown three times since 1948 that they would not.

You don't have to like Jews if you do not want to, but at least do the decent thing and commit yourself to learing the facts about the Middle East.
If Israel falls, we all will. Islam isn't going to stop until it either conquers the world or is stopped by brave, smart people like how you will be once you commit yourself to learning the facts.

The reason informed people hate Muslims is because of what the Muslims believe. If someone believed that you should die simply because you did not believe in their god would you not hate that person? Where I live it is illegal to discriminate (in employement etc) on grounds of religion but there's no law saying I have to respect their religion. Yes that's exactly what I'm saying. You mean you've never read the Qu'ran and yet you assume you know what it says? It says, among other things, "slay the unbelievers wherever you find them". I don't know, but the point I was making is that security walls can and do work in keeping out terrorists.

They ARE a democratic state as they are a parliamentary democracy. Their state religion is Judaism in the same way that the state religion in my country (the UK) is Christianity, even though there are less than 2 million practicing Christians here. Confiscation Laws

Palestinian Arab land in Israel is expropriated by a total of 36 different laws and regulations. The main ones are as follows:

There a some extremeist Jews who believe that they are there to acheive Biblical prophesies. Most Jews are secular and do not have a literal view of their religion. Most Jews are cultural Jews only. The Israeli Government is taken up largely be secularists, not Orthodox Jews.

Many secular Jews aren't living in Israel. Do I also have to mention the Christian zionists who invest hundreds of millions of dollars per year to encourage poor Jewish people from abroad to go live in Israeli settlements? The problem would've been much easier to solve if it wasn't for the Christian zionists who put there nose in it and try to stirr even more trouble between Israelis and Palestinians. You can have as many secular Jews as you want, the number of Christian zionists vastly outnumbers them and pushes the balance in favor of the religious ones.

I don't know, but the point I was making is that security walls can and do work in keeping out terrorists.

They ARE a democratic state as they are a parliamentary democracy. Their state religion is Judaism in the same way that the state religion in my country (the UK) is Christianity, even though there are less than 2 million practicing Christians here. If Israel ever allowed Islam to become dominant it would be an act of suicide.

No, they ARE a Jewish state. The UK is not called a Christian state.
