EXACTLY. you can see these guys salivating when they see a nice car pull up. seriously. i was up at the Chateau Whistler tonight, and i swear they were actually running out to the car in order to be the one to drive it.

Fortunately we don't have much valet parking here and I usally avoid it by parking elsewhere.

Yep it's almost guaranteed they'll rip it down the street a few times before they park it. If you have a nice car

I love valet parking because I hate parking my car

Plus, mine's a POS that gets driven hard up in the mountains, so there'e not really a lot they can do to damage it. Though I do check it out for major dings before I leave.

When i worked at the Rimrock in banff, we saw lots of nice cars come through there.

but now that i think about it, you are right, i would not let any of those guys park a pedal bike let alone a nice car..lol

In canada it is very rare, up in Miami it is ridiculous, everywhere has Valet Parking, but these guys drive everything nice, so its not a big deal, Ferrari's Bentleys, Aston Martins.. and most of the valets dont speak english ahaha.

I used ot work in a bar that valet parked for the girls... I had a deal with the only guy I would let park my car....I would smoke on the way to work.. i would leave a Joint in the ashtray for "james" to smoke (his tip)..he would leave the remaining half a joint for me to smoke on my way home...cant beat someone else getting you high everyday . When james had to quit, he let the new valet know about our deal.. so the new valet guy assumes its the same and smokes my whole joint... I came unglued on this fool....don't smoke the whole joint greedy bastard..got to have my after stripping joint!!!!!

Yup, the only Valet Parking I can think of in Montreal is at the "Solid Gold" and 1-2 restaurants on St-Laurent (downtown)

I was at a hotel once in LA and like you Quiet I hate letting Valets do the parking, and grudgingly let this duchebag kid park my Porsche Turbo Cabriolet who was insisting he had to do it under the hotel's rules.

Next morning noticed the car's odometer was showing extra miles so the weasle must have taken it for a joy ride overnight. No harm done, but the thought of that kid flying around the negihborhood in my wheelz probably at high speed bugged me for days. Kid denied it of course.

I have a couple of friends who are/used to be valets at nice restaurants, and they have tons of stories about whenever someone pulls up in a nice car and they go for a rip.

Not that I'm one to judge, I know I'd be worse than them if I was a valet

Most aftermarket ECUs can put your car into "valet mode", with the redline at 1500rpm and only partial throttle allowed. I know a lot of people who use this on their heavily modified cars (600hp Supras and such).
