No really. I know that common sense can be annoying at times. I'm one of these annoying fuckers that tries to use it all the time. It's sickening really. Sometimes I even piss myself off with all this common sense bullshit I pull.
Take this banner issue that has cropped up today suddenly out of the blue. Sound banner ads have been showing up on GFY for at least 2 years now. At the onset of them 2+ years ago, I must admit that I was caught off guard by them from time to time.... for a while. In fact, many sites out there caught me off guard with sound ads. Then I got the bright idea to change my surfing habits.
I decided to keep my sound turned off unless I need it. For tunes I started putting the radio on during the day. I only turn my computer's sound volume up when I am about to click on a movie file or know that I need to listen to something. Other than that, the sound is off. Never again would I ever be caught off guard or have any loud mouseover scare the beejeezuz out of me.
Life was again wonderful.
So I have to wonder why, after over 2 years of sound banners and zillions of other sites having sound and flashy sound garbage do a handful of members here feel the need to suddenly go mental over them. Out of the blue. And, I honestly don't know who is more annoying here..... me for minimizing the problem, or these people for maximizing it. You decide.
