Does it live up to the hype ? They are around $400cdn here for one, dont want to spend the money if they dont live up to what they claim.

We bought one 2 months ago and it helps alot. Add a few bug lights to the mix and you will kill 90% of them.Comment

Consumer Reports did a review on them about a year ago, but I can't remember what they said. I use bats and a good repellent

I wish I had taken a photo of the cartridge of dead mosquitos after the first 3 weeks. There were thousands of them dead in there and it was an awesome sight.
Unfortunately I ate them all, and it tasted like sweet victory

I have heard that they are really good..
Just make sure that you also empty any standing water on your property. If you live near an area that has standing water have the county spray also . If they refuse, dump a few gallons of bleach into the water..
We lost a horse to westnile virus from a mosquito bite..

I do get rid of any still water, but I do have a running creek in the back yard. This year has been pretty bad for mosquitoes because of all the rain , usually by July when it warms up, a lot of them dissapear.I also have a zapper, but quit using it a few years ago, they kill too many other insects besides mosquitoesOriginally posted by pornguy

I have 4 of the big ones on my property in New Orleans. They do work. I used to not be able to go out of my house at night without being carried off....
They are a good investment.

The idea is you kill all the female blackflies and mosquitos so there is a downsize in the eggs that get layed.
