Gator, the script was horrible.........dialogue like:
Anakin tells Padme: "I don't like the sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating--not like you. You're soft and smooth."
Does dialogue get any cheesier than that?

I take it you've never seen the originals. Plenty of mediocre acting and cheesy lines. Did C3PO
not have any chessy lines in ANY of the first 3 movies?
Alec Guiness portrayal of Obi Wan was "wooden". And he's one of all time greats.
