when the root cause is probably that she is addicted to cocaine.
if you took drugs out of the equation the infant would probably be alive.
so much for the cavalier attitude about drug use.

i have lived long enough to observe what long-term cocaine use does to people and the result may not be exactly what this woman experienced, but i have never seen a positive result.
i worked with many bright, hard-working people in a very lucrative field that were recreational cocaine users---the more $ they made, the more coke they snorted.
and mostly they lost their jobs because i had to fire them, and then i'd hear by way of the grapevine that their wives had left them, and that they were looking for work.
and most of them were really talented guys.
it effects different people in different ways.
i would love to be hearing whitney houston sing jazz ballads today, but that is not going to happen, and i think i know the reason why.Comment

I am totally disgusted and horried beyond words.
Here is a little story for ya. Many years ago a neighbor 2 doors down was called to her daughters apt by the daughters roommate. The girl had given birth in the bathtub. The mother, a devout catholic and a registered nurse told her daughter to stay in the apt and she would take the baby to the hospital.
Instead she drove home and strangled the baby and put it in the hamper. Her husband came home and they buried the baby in the yard....then had a pool party the next day....about 4 feet from where they had buried their grandchild.
The daughter moved home the very same day she gave birth. The roommate became suspicious when the mother insisted on taking the child to the hospital without taking the daughter...and after a couple days she called police. Police contacted all the hospitals and no baby had been brought in. They went to the home where the father of the girl broke down and told police that his wife told him that on the way to the hospital the child started having difficulty breathing and the wife was unable to save the child. Since the daughter was single and no one knew the daughter was even pregnant, the wife brought the dead baby home to bury it to "save face".
The mother was charged and convicted of first degree murder..father was charged with disposing of a body. Father received probation, mother received 5 years in a minimum open-gate womans prison where she worked as a nurse. The daughter stood by her mothers side and held no ill feelings towards her and was outraged her mother was sent to prison.Comment
