Fuck online Florists!!!

Gr. I am so pissed.

The Monday before I left for Montreal I purchased flowers to be delivered to my mother on Mothers Day. I specifically asked if it was guarenteed that they would get there.

Sure enough, I come back to town, and hear she never recieved them. I am pissed. Ive been on hold with this company for the past 30 mnutes.

Welp, I ordered this large monster fortune cookie from a place I saw on the Food network on cable as a valentine gift, and they guaranteed it and it never came....and whoopie doo', I get 50% off next order like I am every gonna order from them again....

I always get flowers and place orders with local florists. If something goes wrong, I go there to SEE them and resolve my problem.

never had any problems myself.. love those online (only drawback is that they are expensive as fuck.. but I don't have to go there in person, stand in line and talk to all the gay people so fair enough)

To be blunt, anyone who orders flowers through an online florist is wasting their money.

Use Yahoo! or Google to find a flower shop near whereever the recipient lives, pick up the phone, and order.

You'll save at least $6.00 that the wire services charge, PLUS get more value since the wire services also take a percentage, PLUS you get more one on one attention, so if something goes wrong, you're not put on hold for 30 minutes.

haha, my wife is a sucker for fortune cookies and i ordered one of those giant ones too along with some other crap from probably the same place since i saw it on the food network, it came over a week after valentines day, they said it would be there on valentines day. helloo chargeback

I've only ordered flowers twice... once was on valentines day for a girl I liked and they showed up a day late... they gave me like half off... but it didn't fucking matter because it was already ruined.

The last time I ordered flowers for mothers day I used FTD and they arrived on time and even at the specific time I requested. It also depends on the local florist they hand the order off to. (obviously)

I use 1800flowers often and have never had a problem with them
though one time, they made the mistake of delviering a teddy bear with the flowers that I never ordered but they never charged me for it, so I was happy ;-)

I use 1800flowers as well. They have always delivered on time for me. However, I do know someone that they completely forgot to send an order out to.... and they got the flowers three days late. However, they immediately refunded the price of the flowers, and then delivered it asap... Plus, they also sent flowers with a gift certificate to my friend that bought the gift to make up for the mistake.

I forget which site it was (maybe 1800flowers.com) but one of them sent my order out twice 2 days apart so the recipient received two nice boxes of tulips via FedEx. Pity they couldn't have changed the card on the second delivery so it didnt look like they had screwed up, lol. Plus they only billed me once.
