This is how I stopped it: Every time one of them sends me a useless forward (i.e., something other than family news, pics, etc) I send them back a picture of goatse. It took them a few weeks to catch on, but now that I have the fear installed in them, they will actually put - "Holly- this is important! Please don't send the picture of that man!" in the subject line if they legitimately need to email me.
