some ppl are STUPID!!

So I work in an office and the last 4 digits of our # are 8006...well there's a satellite company that advertises on US t.v and their # is VOOM...which is 8666 right??? well, these dumb fucks from the US call and they don't get it...

Caller: Hi, I wanna buy some satellite t.v??

Me: sorry u got the wrong #

Caller: isn't this 1-800-...-VOOM???

Me: No, this is 8006

Caller: well I got this # from the t.v.

Me: yes, and VOOM is not 8006 on your phone..it's 8666

Caller: I don't get it...

Me: VOOM..the letters OO are not the # 0...they're the letters on your phone..

Caller: but it says VOOM on the t.v.....

Me: yeah...OO not 00...how can u not understand???

Ughh, so I get about 20 of these calls a day and they don't get it...how is that so hard to understand??? to make it worse, they actually call back b/c they don't get it...MORONs!!

We get people leaving messages on our machine thinking they're calling the post office all the time...

They'll call over and over... like they can't tell that they are calling a HOME answering machine! Do they really think the post office would have a message saying "Sorry you missed us. Leave a message and we'll get back to you when we feel like it."??

We have the same problem. A snowboard and ski manufacturing company in Colorado had a misprint in their catolog that went out to 1000's of their clients for their new line or products. They listed our 1-800 number to call for orders. We get people calling all the time wanting to place a wholesale order of Snowboards. We were nice to the first 50 or so but now it's annoying and we let them know we don't have any snowboards but we could sell them some porn. It costs us money for every call and the company's owner said he was sorry and would send us a free snowboard for the trouble. It has never showed up and that was a year ago. I need to send him another email about that.

actually we've called their sales office in Mobile Alabama and they don't care...I told them they're losing some serious sales/day!!

This is a great opportunity to make some money actually. There's plenty of national based satellite programs offered through CJ.com and you can simply take down their information and enter it directly into the sponsor and make money on their personal information. Especially if you're volume is upwards of 20 leads per day.

I had a new line installed at home and the people who had it before must have entered every flipping contest on the planet as I get a huge volume of calls from sales reps, church groups, phone companies, survey kids - you name it!

Sorry I had to vent..

About 6 months ago I found a company that have a satellite affiliate program and they pay about $100-150 per sold satellite through your link. You could buy a domain for this, setup the affiliate links and send the people there. It cant be so hard to find the program if you look for that products on google.
