    Don't tell me that there aren't good paying jobs out there

    They're putting a new street in and for some reason, the city can't put their own workers in to fix the streets..So they gave the contract to a private Italian construction company.



    This dude gets 30 an hour to sit his big ass in different construction machines. He hasn't touched even a shovel and the only time he has his feet on the ground is to either walk to another machine or go to lunch but he does good work.

    So it isn't that there are no good paying jobs. It's just that the people who aren't making good money are doing the WRONG job.

          It's all of the layers of tar and asphalt that's been poured over it during the years. The last time a new street was put in here was in 1930. Plus the edge of the street is lined with these huge bricks that they have to dig up.

          When it's done it will be beautiful. I like to see my tax dollars going to work. It will be the perfect Negro neighborhood when it's done.

                                  I used to drive Semi-Trucks. I delivered food to Burger King, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, etc. I averaged $35 per hour.

                                  I have a friend that drives for Fed-Ex. He averages about $110,000 per year.

                                  There are some great jobs out there.

                                      But most people are happy sitting at home watching TV anc collecting unemployment, and bitching that there are no jobs that pay well..

                                          Underwriter for a mortgage company, im only there 8mo so far, but in line to make $145k per year (there is a base and some comissions)

                                          but i know what you are saying, lots of the "easy to get" jobs dont pay much more than $10 - $15 per hour and they wont hire you full time because they dont want to pay full benefits.
