What's bad is when you have someone who clicks on everything. I gave someone a copy of Adaware not too long ago and they had more spyware than I'd ever seen on a single computer.

Yes, YOU do, and so do most of the adult webmasters here. But what about your surfers? Do THEY think to do that?
Quite honestly, the spyware bullshit has gone on long enough. Surfers are getting tired of it, and pissed off that their computers are slowing way the fuck down or shitting altogether because of this crap.
I see this trend in two ways: Being bad for business due to the inevitable crash of the computers of the average joe schmoe, or good for business because spyware is found mostly on sites that aren't big name, i.e., paysites don't usually have them, so the surfer will feel that to be safe from this shit, he'll have to go to the big guys.
So far, I'm seeing it being bad for business. People are starting to connect spyware to porn in general, or warez sites, (but that's kinda expected, I would think: If you're going to a site full of cracks and hacks, expect at least one spyware bug on your computer afterward), and that's not a good thing.

I have seen comps with 100's of spyware apps installed, totally slowed down and fucked up the machine, and they didn't even surf porn (so they said ;-) )

You only get that stuff because you probably use IE or outlook, those 2 programs still have unpatched holes that allow scammers to install anything on your computer... switch to different software and you won't have problems...

Sounds like a plan. BUT!!! 85% of the surffers are using IE, ya have to see what they see. If it's bad you need to know about it.
That's why you test on IE, AOL, Netscape, Apple...... And write to W3C. Your trades may not and may be full of all the crap.
