Terror vs. Terror - Al-Qaida operative gets death threat
Beirut, Lebanon, Jul. 6 (UPI) -- Muslim militants Tuesday threatened to kill suspected al-Qaida operative Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and his followers if they fail to leave Iraq immediately.
A hitherto unknown group calling itself the Movement of Salvation made the threat in an videotape showing masked gunmen broadcast on Dubai-based al-Arabiya satellite television.
"The criminal Abu Musab al-Zarqawi must leave Iraq immediately with his followers and all who support him ... these people know themselves very well," said one of the gunmen reading from a statement.
"Who is Zarqawi to allow him to do what he has been doing in Iraq ... killing, kidnapping and slaughtering innocent foreign workers," the gunman said.
He warned the group has started preparations to arrest Zarqawi and his followers or kill them and offer them as a "gift" to the Iraqi people.
