q regarding a new adult forum

I frequently visit another non-adult forum.

A bunch of us want to get together and start a forum where people can post their favorite adult pics. Its very casual.

Do you see any probs with this?
I mean where the line between posting a few of your fave pics and rippping off someones material?

The motivation for the board is just to share pics with each other.
It has nothing to do with $$$, I guess that wasnt clear in the first post.

You could run into issues. You need to have a license to display someone's elses images, or express consent.

Having said that, there are hundreds of "pirate" forums that steal content...whether it's just a few pics or entire sets...and you won't likely find any sympathy around here.

ya, its probably not a good idea then.

The reason why I wanted to start a new site is that we already have a good community of people. The current forum where we post doesnt allow adult content.

Wuold it make a diff, if the pictures we'rent hosted on my server. That is, the users would have to host the pics themselves.

Atleast then it resemeber more of a fan site, which really is its true intention.

I think that if you contacted the affiliate first and got permisson and only posted watermarked photos, you could probably do it.

The affiliate gets free advertising and traffic.

Not sure what you would gain out of the deal though....

I am involved in one like you say XXX Shed and unless you get some traffic from your sources it is going to cost a bit through Adwords, advertising etc

I started a more mainstream one (as per sig) and do little advertising and this moves slow but is picking up!

Dont let ony one tell you not to but you have to weigh your options up in relation to a profit/loss scenareo!
