Well guys,

I moved out to Chicago about 2 months ago to be with my girlfriend... right after selling off my last profitable website (to pay for the moving costs) ... and I've been looking for a job ever sense.

So far, it has not worked out as planned. I have applied for so many jobs, but most big corps are looking for someone with a degree, REGARDLESS of your experience, so I've been pretty much shafted at every turn.

This is my last chance, if I don't get a job this week I will be moving back to Lake Tahoe (not such a horrible thing I guess...) to live with my Mom for a while.

Bring on the "Pathetic Newbie, living with your mom" posts ... but that's the way it is. I made decent money last year, and now I owe the US/Cal governement about 9k in taxes .... so fuck me.

I'm not looking for a handout, but if anyone wants to hire a webmaster/promoter/SEO'er/flash designer/VB programmer in the next few days, I would be STOKED to work for you. And even though my portfolio is not that large, I PROMISE you I will do some good work. I will stay up working 19 hrs a day for 8 hrs a day pay ... I just need a fucking job badly.

Thanks man, I know ending up back in Tahoe is not such a horrible result ... but I will feel pretty shitty knowing that I made a true effort out here and couldn't cut it.

The majority of my work over the last few years has been on the site SweetCams.net ... which I sold off earlier this year.

Although it may not look like much at face value, there were several hundred really well converting thumbnail galleries included in that site, and I'd be happy to upload / send more examples to anyone who's interested.

My main experience, through that site, has been creating TRUE amateur style promotional pages that convert like a mofo. I can also provide numbers / proof of sales vs traffic for anyone who is truly interested. (as well as other examples of flash / 3d / coding work, if necessary)
