I'm all for lighting fireworks off on the 4th, but my neighbors are fucking morans. They had huge ass fireworks they were lighting from their backyard. Tons of sparks and debris kept hitting the side of my house. Eventually, they had one that blew up on the ground. I don't think they got hurt, but I saw them running out of their backyard! I ran over there with a bucket of water (faining that I was going to help) instead, I asked them to come clean up my driveway. They refused, so I dupmed the water on their stash. Stupid people shouldn't light explosives near my house.

I hate July 4th for that very reason. Stupid people should not be allowed to play with fireworks, explosives. It was like a fucking battleground this year in my usually quiet neighborhood.
Last year 3,000 people were treated for burns from fireworks. I'm betting that number is up this year.Beat it. Nothing to see here.Comment

Same shit here, except nothing hitting the house. But they were lighting off half sticks of dynamite at 11pm, on July SECOND.
Fireworks are illegal here, yet they show on the news every year how dangerous fireworks are and how to light them off safely so you dont burn yourself or lose a limb.
This year they showed how strong M80's are by blowing up a matermelon. They showed how hot sparklers are by lighting one and placing it in the hand of a babydoll untill it was burnt to a crisp. On the newscast...

We live in a neighbourhood with lots of trees.
All of our houses are constructed of cedar, with cedar shake roofs...
The Indian reservation is close by, so lots of our neighbours buy the huge fireworks and set them off, starting two days prior and it will continue until the end of this week.
