"IF you think you've found a bomb, don't take it to a police station -- call them instead.
That was the advice from the Winnipeg Police Service yesterday after a Winnipeg man found a suspicious device in his mailbox and took it to the District 4 station in Transcona.
The officer behind the desk immediately called the bomb unit to handle the device.
It proved to be a device someone had wired up to look like a real bomb.
However, police said this and other instances prompted them to alert people that if ever they should find what appears to be an explosive, like old military ordnance, they should leave it alone and call police to remove it."
too funny
