For those of you that missed the full story of how we took an ass-beating, you can see it here.

I read your initial post twice to make sure I did not really miss what you said. Aside from not knowing what you were getting into and pulling a "finacial groin muscle" I did not gather why you stoped this project in your own words.

As you can already see plenty of people are praising its quality, and I am sure plenty more will after my post as well. Seriously though did you really see this as quality hentai animation, or was that more as a comparrison for the low quality material that is currently out there? Older licensed movies excluded of course.

Having been a fan of hentai animation for well over twelve years I can not really see what is even mildly impressive about what you have. I have no doubt you will sell this to people, but damn. If that is the quality you got by spending 200k then I am truely amazed at the ride you must of took.

I know you have a thick skin and will not take this personally. I do admire many of the projects you have come up with over the years. This however I can only shake my head and wonder why.

We would have needed 300 animators to do the kind of movies you are referring too. The fact of the matter is that original adult anime content is normally complete crap. What I consider crap are those 2 minute repetitive loop flash vids that are clearly done by one guy in one week.

On a personally level I consider what we did to be B quality, not A quality. It certainly isn't C or D quality. Give us some credit for at least having made better stuff than your average original content toon sites. We gave it a go. Honestly, towards the end there we were getting better and better. The cash drain just got too much for all the partners who simply ran out of patience. In time, we would have started putting out A quality toons.

Exactly. This is made for the web content and it's as good as you are going to get. The hentai films you are used to judging are sitting on film reals in a Japanese basement somewhere.

I'm still very much a fan and will get back into the business one day but next time I'll use a slightly different plan of attack.

As you stated above, they didn't create that. I'd love to get to that level but everyone will have to wait until I launch another studio at some later point in my life when money isn't an issue.

Not quite. Try 150,000 for setting up a company on the other side of the world, leasing an office, putting management in place, buying the hardware, software, etc... I'd say 50k went into actual animation.

Not quite. A lot of money was spent setting up the studio, etc. The cost per movie would have been much lower had the studio not been shut down.
