The Czeks (spelling) played the best football. Best game: Holland-Czeks 2-3. That 40 metre shot from Nedved on the crossbar was unbeleivable. How it swirled away from the keeper.
Defensively, the Greeks had the best team. Midfield and attack sucked somewhat.Comment

I fully agree with Tuga.
If everybody would play like Greece, the stadiums would be empty.
It's not only their ultra defensive style, but using fouls as a resource all the time to keep their opponents game form being fluent.
The also throw themselves to the ground at every chance trying to fool the referee to call fouls in their favor. I would not be surprised if they even practice that on their training

And I'm not upset just because it was Portugal losing the final, it's because it was Portugal hosting the tournament and everything about it was amazing, except for the winner. That's what makes me sad.
If England, Checzs, Italia, Sweden, Holland, etc... were champions, I would probably be going out now to party with them.

Nobody does that as much as players from Porugal, Spain, Italy etc. They have many great football players with briliant technique and shouldn't have to do all that crappy "acting". In 98 france won the worldcup in similar style and in 2000 they became european champions exact the same way. germany made it into the 02 worldcup finals by having nothing but a strong defence. it's not the most attractive way to play the game, but the most successfull as the last years have shown.
Like their german coach said: It's hard for your opponents to win when they can't score against you.
