Ahh, but you are talking about boxing. Not some esoteric form of which kung fu flavor of the month style I'm training in today shit. Of course that's gonna be more effective, you hit and someone hits you. Thats how your train.

Judo doesn't train for someone punching at them, that's it's inherent weakness, it's a sport. BJJ on the other hand, trains for kicks and punches, for the take down and subsequent submission.

6 months of BJJ, is a different story, it's still has more of it's combat roots. But I agree, 6 months of Judo isn't enough. A blackbelt though, whoa watch out.
