check out Hotel Vintage Park then, not too many people know about it and it's close to shopping, though i'd say a good mile from pikes place. The Westin is right between shopping and pike place. Other than those 2, I haven't stayed anywhere else downtown.

I've heard The Roosevelt is pretty swank and i know it's right in the middle of shopping land.
