Chihuahua's, just like a lot of other toy breeds, are notorious for being high maintenance dogs with a lot of problems.
I've got an Italian Greyhound and she fits into the same class. She just turned 2 years old a couple of weeks ago and she's had a broken leg (at 4 months, luckily no surgery) and now she's got luxating patellas (probably what Willy had to cause his problems) -- meaning her kneecaps slip off her knees and dont want to go back.
The surgeon at my vet's wants to basically cut off her right kneecap and move it over to try and fix the problem. I haven't decided yet, since it's a trauma from playing with a very sweet puppy that's caused her to have so many problems in such a little time...Comment
