    HDTV movie/show recommendations?

Yesterday I decided to upgrade my BrightHouse cable service to their HDTV converter box. All I can say is, WOW!

Aside from only a few channels being HD, the quality of those channels is amazing! I only wish all were broadcast in widescreen format. Why have Non-widescreen HDTV when majority of the HDTV's are 16:9 ??

I'm new to this, so I'm not sure if I will get better quality if I send my DVD's through the HDTV Cable converter box... any ideas?

Does anyone have recommendations for good shows to watch in HD? How about good DVD's to watch in HD?
It's like I got a new toy just by getting this converter box.

    Not bad for $6/mo

            A wHat?? lol
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60. Let me repeat... A 120 x 60 button and no more that 3 lines of DEFAULT SIZE AND COLOR text.

              I have BrightHouse Cable.

I found this link on Cnet.

              http://www.cnet.com/4520-7874_1-5119...html?tag=picks

It showcases all the HDTV broadcasts out there. Pretty cool. Not sure if Brighthouse carries ESPN HD:-(

                  get hd.net
                  hdo hd
                  showtime hd
                  espn HD

discovery HD theatre is the best
                  hdtv channel

jay leno is hdtv every night over normal air antenna

im obsessed with hdtv and watch nothing
bu hdtv all day. mainly because the programming on hd
channels is cool, not neccessarily just because of the picture

lots of public access channel 2 is hdtv.

anytime you see hot sluts in hdtv its a plus.
if theyre ugly its not good.

hot girls look hotter on hdtv. HD.NET has a bikini show on mondays called guys night out or something

this is all through direct TV for me though but you can
use a normal $30 antenna to get JAY LENO and football
games on the major networks in HD

                  or probly your cable box
                  i love GW

Unfortunately BrightHouse doesn't have ESPN HD. I will call and request it though, it won't hurt!

I have the HD.Net, and so far it seems pretty good! I watched Leno last night as well... I only wish it was in widescreen!

Discovery is amazing. It has the best widescreen picture and programming by far. I watched a car show the other day and couldn't believe the quality!

I have a 46" Plasma. Before I had this, I only had a 32" Phillips Magnavox TV. This has been a big improvement.. even before the HDTV Cable
