I got banned from a board. well should I say I think my password was changed so that I couldn't post. And I could never get a reply from anyone there when I asked about it. So I can relate baddog hon. And I did nothing..
I've known you a while.. You're a good person with a big heart. Sure we all have our flaws. But it seems that people are more ban happy these days then they were years ago. going to the person and talking to them about a problem works soo much better.

Not so on certain other boards.
I've seen people (myself included) get banned simply for disagreeing with someone, or standing up for themselves when being pissed at, or for speaking their mind openly on a contraversial issue (such as reporting a known thief).
Always, the person doing the pissing or on the other end of the argument is some tater tot who has been given control of the ban button. It makes them feel important, it eases their own insecurities, and among the weak-minded we all know that absolute power corrupts absolutely. It is much easier for them to ban rather than have someone dare to disrupt thier happy little fantasy land.
I find there is a far higher instance of unwarranted bannings on other boards than GFY or even Oprano. Far higher.Promote Wildmatch, ImLive, Sexier.com, and more!!

What I have never understood is if a webmaster/board user is being extremely disruptive or if he/she is violating board rules, why can't the board owner or moderator email the person and work it out? Instead, I see board owners making a show of the problem on the board and treating the offender with no respect. A little understanding and diplomacy go a long way.Comment

CD, I have been treated more fairly on Oprano and GFY than many of the smaller boards. I pushed the limits with Serge and Lensman. Both cancelled the bans eventually. I have never asked a board that has banned me to take me back. I am still banned from Netpond, even though Aga says he never officially banned my IP. I never returned because I felt betrayed.
I love fighting with Serge. I don't like fighting with Lensman. I know he does his best to be fair. He has a big bunch of crazies to handle on GFY. I wouldn't want his job. The mixup with Alien was just that...a big misunderstanding. Hell, Alien has never been a bum like some of the others. Amp has been going through some rough times with his bi-polar condition. He is one sharp cookie, and has added much more to GFY than he has taken.

CD, a few years ago in Santa Monica, there was a group who helped homeless people and people with drug addictions. The group therapy sessions were brutal. People said exactly what they wanted to say, and many feelings were hurt. However, those who stuck with it became healthier and stronger. I feel the same way about some of the boards. There really is an initiation period. The right to say what is on your mind without sugar coating your posts feels good.
Baddog knows that on many boards I have defended him. I have told him how much I like his photography, admire his respect for his children, and the work he does in porn. What does hurt is when people like baddog turn on you because they believe the gossip being spread by your enemies. I thought baddog was above that kind of thing.
If everyone loved me, I would be bored to death. I know who I am. Those who want to get to know the real me know how they can reach me. The others who stalk me and spread lies can GO FUCK THEMSELVES.Comment

This board was made for you. My deal here is slightly different. No slight against you or anyone, but I tend not to get involved in who turned on who, who attacked who, who's the attention whore du jour, or getting upset over the drama of the week. I've conditioned myself to not let anyone or anything get to me, affect my mood, or upset my day in any way. It just isn't worth it.
More often than not if I seem angry, my post only seems that way. If I seem upset, I'm not. If I come off as arrogant or sarcastic, it's because I'm good at it, not because I have some soap-opera-like hidden agenda.
I'm usually sitting behind the screen laughing here, not punching holes in walls.
And I like just about everyone and most of the board personas. There are only a handful of people who, if I ever met face to face, would I consider maybe possibly putting the fear of god into them for their past piss-poor attitudes towards me. I've found that usually I need do nothing and eventually the misfortune they deserve catches up with them anyway, it always does.

I'm a female board moderator and I vowed I would never ban.
I shouldn't make those vows anymore. I vowed I'd never move to Georgia and I ended up there for three years.
I have banned those who wouldn't respond to the private messages or the emails. If I take the time out of my day to email or PM a poster, I expect the courtesy of a response, even if it is a go fuck yourself.
Oh yeah...and, two bots.
My board certainly isn't as large as gfy or others; but, it has its own flavour....and I run it pretty much my way, thanks to the owner trusting my judgment...

Not all women are as cool and fair as the two of you. Lee Noga is about as above board as you can get. Lee calls her board a *personal blog* and boy does she share her life with you. There is only one Sister Lee.
CD, most of the time I prefer to be on larger more outrageous boards where I can blend in and fight with the boys. It has never felt good fighting with the ladies. I want most of the women I meet to succeed. Women have to fight much harder to be accepted, and I find most of the women more dependable and honest. Men get caught up in the *sex* thing like Clinton, and their lose their vision and their brains.
The only time I have gotten angry on the internet is when my relatives' SS#'s, addresses, and personal information were posted on the boards. What did they do to deserve this kind of treatment? They aren't on the internet. They aren't in porn. They don't use or like computers.
The rest of the times when people *assumed* I was angry, I was having fun. When you go to boards called GFY, how can you take anything seriously!!!! Would ya hit it????? Want to make 50 bucks by posting a zillion times???? Clinton just divorced Hillary and married Monica!!!!! Yep, serious stuff!!!!Comment

For rumours and news and sightings and just plain laughs, this is the place to start. I often send my posters over here to ask a question about sponsors and individuals......but, I also send them to other boards...
Each board has its own flavour. Some I avoid because they are like a small exclusive club and I don't have time for that. Others are just a little too fluffy for my tastes and I avoid them, too.
There are, however, resource sites and boards who are on the ball and fast to answer and don't have ego problems....Those are the ones I visit...
I might not have time to post; but, I always make time to read. I think it's important to know what's going on in our industry.Raven
