I'd say that 90% of the people who subscribe to a certain political leaning aren't actually fully educated on the policies of their party. Some people are just fucking idiots and pick a party based on one ideological issue, like abortion. Politics is so much bigger than one particular party.

Taxes. Although I'm not convinced Republican economic policy is better or even much different than Democrats.

I think when voting adult webmasters should keep in mind that the republican party is backed by christian fundamentalist groups who would demolish our entire industry if given the oppertunity. Just some food for thought.

No single political party or candidate will be a perfect reflection of the voter. We try to elect people who BEST represent our views and ideas. The political parties are comprised of people with differing ideologies. I believe in small government and low taxes. Republicans advocate these things. Democrats tax you to death and spend the money on programs which do nothing in the long run.

That is basically the idea that is directly opposed by conservative political groups. They think people should NOT have the right to decide for themselves what they do in the privacy of their own bedroom.

Ofcourse, the liberals aren't particularly good for personal freedom either... the only party that is consistent with the concept of personal freedom is the libertarian party.

I think one would have to accept the idea that a "liberty" is being taken away that people are helpless to do anything about.

I am not aware of anyone trying to tell people what they can do in the privacy of their own bedroom. Of course, i don't agree with that. But i think a good argument is that a 11 year old child should not be able to walk into a school library and look at pics of a drunk 18yr old fucking a Doberman. History has taught us that whatever legislation that will pass will have to appease both sides of the political spectrum and will always be a compromise between views. Bush does not unilaterraly pass laws everyone is opposed to.

We live with a political system where people decide on every issue themselves, either directly or indirectly with action or innaction everyday. Blaming "Bush" in my opinion is just an excuse for innaction.

I believe in the system and how it works. I do not believe in Bush. I do not believe in Kerry. i think its extremely short sighted and ignorant to follow a view that 1/2 of an entire country is summarily wrong and "my half" is right. I trust in a political system that on a whole, tends to balance itself out every single time between both predominent views in the US.

Also, I would never overlook say... economic issues, tax issues, defense issues, global economic issues, global political issues, terrorism and the 1,000,000 other important things that a president must deal with that affects each of us and can even be a matter of life and death for our friends and families just because I own a porn business. That is beyond irresponsible in my opinion.
