if there was no internet... this and 90% of similar cases would never happen since the movies / pics could not be so widely distributed so fast. this sort of stuff has always happened... it just never got send to 1000's of people in a few hours. usually, it was just kept in someone shoebox at the bottom of the closet and pulled out to be watched with select groups of people.
