CD is a huge niche and the main CD forum has around 30,000 users. Only in UK, there are about 200,000 CD fans, with parties, meetings, fashion shows and contests. There are a lot more in USA.

It appeals both to hetero and gay people, also to women with a dominant side or those who are into femdom (there are sets on this specific action, as well as role changing)
