    Whats the best dv cam?

    Im wanting to know what in your opinion is the best middle range dv cam for good quality output.

    List with reasons if you can.
    SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

      There are probably a grand total of about 3 people here who have ever shot with a DV Cam.

      This is most likely not the best place to ask for informed opinions on that subject....Although several people may offer their opinions....I would not put much stock in those opinions.

          I'd be interested to know this. Not sure if you are talking camera's to shoot content with.

          I have been thinking of buying a DV Camera for a while now. I want the new Sony one. To me it looks amazing, but I'm hardly an expert on Camera's.

              Ross is most likely thinking of a Mini DV camera. I can think of no possible reason from him to be considering DV Cam.

                  Yup but I said that in my post

                  I just want something to take on holidays or on trips or night out. Something to capture shit on. Nothing big and expensive like that fucker you had in Cancun.

                  But to be honest he didn't exactly make clear what he's looking for.

                              Thanks gorgeous, thats what I had in mind. Found one at around $1500. That is under a grand in my currency

                                  What are you going to shoot with it ? If it is for content then you may want to spend a little more money and buy a good 3ccd camera with as many manual controls as possible, and a good balanced audio input. And you need to clearify if you want a dv cam or mini dv two completely different formats.

                                  My favorite mini dv is a Gl2 with the audio shoe and a good shot gun mic.
