guy sounds pretty tough to me.Carpio, who's charged with murdering a Providence police detective, allegedly attacked the officers in his cell on Tuesday night.
"They observed Mr. Carpio chewing on his blanket in an attempt to ingest it. Correctional officers intervened, and Mr. Carpio stuck his hands out the door," State Police Maj. Steven O'Donnell told reporters at a news conference.
At first compliant, O'Donnell said Carpio lashed out at a guard who entered his cell, fracturing the officer's jaw and bruising his eye socket. The guard also suffered broken vertebrae. O'Donnell said Carpio attacked a second guard who rushed in to stop the assault. Carpio was subdued by a third guard who used pepper spray.
O'Donnell said Carpio spit at a fourth officer when Carpio was taken to a decontamination unit.
Three officers were taken to the hospital. The officer with the fractured jaw was released Wednesday.

Dont think it happens ? it does ... it happened to me.. I was carrying an unlicensed handgun in my belt and got pulled over and a cop searched me found the weapon, placed it to my head several times and pistol whipped the back of my head.
