There was nothing new in the film that has not been presented before...in addition Moore's twisting of facts...inuendo and highly biased point of view made the film pretty much BS in my opinion. Only the uniformed or misinformed will take this film seriously...but then again Moore himself once said on the now defunct Politically Correct show...that he is about entertaining and was laughing all the way to the bank.

Michael Moore is an interesting guy. I enjoy his stuff and keep a large grain of salt with me while viewing.
I'm looking forward to seeing "Farenheit" and all the while i'll be thinking "free speech".
I'm Canadian and enjoyed his views on the gun problem and he made some good points.
In our election which was held yesterday he was widely quoted worldwide when he told us we would be fools to vote for the Conservative Party up here.
Personally, I thought that he was taking the American view of free speech just a little too far and also now wonder if he affected our sovereign electoral process.
I also wondered about the newspapers and media that are "bought dogs of Capitalism", who published his thoughts.
He's got lots of opinions and i'm sure we'll hear a bunch of them if he wins an Oscar for this.

But perhaps you can explain the "uniformed and misinformed" comment? As you correctly point out, everything in the film has been presented before (Moore himself said that on TV a few nights ago) and for sure the "underground" media has covered them. Were they the only sources, I suppose you could try shooting the messenger and ignore the message. Except that almost everything appeared originally in solid media resources either here or abroad. Some appeared, all be it as throwaways that weren't followed up or buried in the mainstream media here.
Exactly how does someone who doesn't restrict themselves to gathering news from Fox and CNN qualify as "uniformed"?

I would have thought the real point was "here is your President, a man who claims to be concerned about terrorists, someone you would expect and want to be concerned about terrorists, delivering a sound-bite about terrorists with absolutely zero sincerity".
As a comment on the president's character, it is irrelevant which terrorists he was talking about.

In addition it has been announced that the new Iraqi government has control of the oil and the funds from same are to go into a "Reconstruction Fund" apparently to be supervised by the UN. Which to me sounds like a bad idea since the UN is investigating the corruption in the now defunct "Oil for Food Program"...which was under UN supervision.
