Sorta, but no. Superscript expresses a progressive function (which, of course, N+1
IS), but I'm looking for a simple way to represent (in a formula) that the same operations may be applied to the same variables as in the present formula, with identical empirical results, so long as (and whenever) all present values are advanced by one integer unit.
It's a goddmaned symbol of some sort, I just can't see it in my head.
