    Damn SPAM!

    hey is there any damn point in using the "unsubscribe/remove me/take me down" things at the bottom of spam mails? doesnt really seem to stop the bloody spam coming!

    not at all. most of time they don't work anyway.
    http://www.cloudmark.com is pretty good for spam

      Actually, clicking the "unsubscribe" link just tells the spammer that there's a live email address at the other end...and they will double the amount of spam they send to you.

              Yep, clicking that link only makes things worse..which means a ton more spam in your mailbox.

                Just find where they're hosted and report to their hosts upstream provider. Nothing gets a hosts attention like someone pulling their plug, lol.

                If it's not truly SPAM, but just email marketing (with name, address, phone, remove link and no fake headers), then use the remove link IMO.

                You've read it, you can't unread it.
