I know they were trying to break it..don't know how it went. If they aren't..they really should be. That boy is a master of his guitar. Just getting tingles watching tapes from their show last night at Glastonbury. Brings back a lot of memories of watching them at a music fest two years ago while I stood out in an electric storm.
Is the band Muse known in the States?

Muse suck. Keane are the up and coming band now!

exactly my thoughts..I don't get the whole Keane thing. To me they seems just slightly one step above Busted.Originally posted by Fabuleux
Keane is cool for 12 year old girls, just like Britney.
I've seen Muse several times live, excellent musicians, wonderful show.

unoriginal radiohead copycats that made it when radiohead stopped rocking and they could easily fill the space created for them by radiohead and left vacant with their departure.
they're like creed except they picked a better band to copy.Comment

There's definitley a radiohead influence on that single they released a few years ago. I think it was called sunburn, but if you actually hear the whole album, especially their newer stuff, they're definitley not ripping off radiohead. My opinion, at least.Originally posted by bhutocracy

their one song sounds Radiohead ish but the past two albums haven't had any sort of Radiohead sound. Plus, I still think Matt Bellamy is a virtuoso.Originally posted by bhutocracy

I love them, especially perfect combination of piano and guitar on most of the songs. Their new album 'Absolution' is great. Not like anything I've listened before. And if you haven't watch video clip of it yet you should.

muse don't sound anything like radiohead. They're much more melodramatic and over the top than radiohead.Comment

For anyone new to Muse a good sampling of tracks would be:
New Born
Plugin Baby
Falling Down
Bliss
Time Is Running Out
Sing For Absolution
Stockholm Syndrome (man that was awesome at Glastonbury)Comment

He obviously borrows from classical music and from Bowie too but the results are pretty good.Comment

I only just heard of them the other day and I haven't really listened to them yet. I am not a huge fan of Maroon 5 but I will give Kane a listen.Originally posted by Battuss

Yes yes, just go to the show, you wont regret it. Just leave when Maroon starts playing hehe. Ive seen Kane play a couple of times now and their shows are awesome. Theyre really big in Holland and now are touring other countries trying to get known there as well.Originally posted by sarah_webinc

yeah i don't think Muse borrow all that much from Bowie, although when I think Muse I think they're kind of glam and obvious Bowie is glam... so perhaps there is a connection...
You should check out Zillionaire too, they're wicked (ok they're my brothers band) but they're still great. They're playing 17th July (Sat) - Clerkenwell House, which is near Chancery Lane. I might even pop over for that show.. it's my 30th birthday :/Comment

Theyre playing alone it seems, not with Maroon 5.Originally posted by sarah_webinc
