Did you work for awhile and then go back to school?

    How was the adjustment?
Did yo fit in to the schedules okay... did you have any problems returning to a classroom setting?
    Did you enjoy it?

    What was your personal experience?

    Thanks.

What?! When was the last time you walked on a campus when it's hot out? You'd be signing up for Underwater Basketweaving in no time ;-)

Racking up your numbers has never been easier than in college! I love it!

DId my BSc. Now I am in grad school, took one year off and did dick all, now I am in an intensive 2 year program in 12 weeks. It is hard as hell to go back to school, especially when you start again in the summer and you have no support and all your friends want to do is go out, go to the beach and drink. I am 1/3 done, but it's all uphill!

After being a mediocre high school student (which was a joke), I couldn't see myself with another 4 years of college. I took 3 years off and worked in the insurance business. I needed some time off and was completely clueless as to what I wanted to do with my life.

When I decided to actually go to college on MY own terms, not out of obligation or duty, I actually thrived, graduated with honors, enjoyed it and even continued to upper grad.

It was a tough adjustment at first but because it was a decision that I had wholeheartedly made and wanted, I had the motivation to adjust quickly and really enjoy the whole experience.

Yeah see I WANT it. I want it real bad and so I think I will do well. More than anything though I may have trouble dealing with the "classroom setting" so to speak. No executive padded chairs and ergo desks. LOL

I look forward to it and I think I should adjust fine.

I haven't been to school for over 7 years! I stopped at 18, and I had a lot of problems living at home and getting along with my mom so I moved out and never went back home. I just started going back and I just turned 26. I look super super young for my age so I easily pass for 18-19 and blend right in. No one has a clue at how old I am. I bet they would be shocked out of their minds if they knew what an old hag I really was! A lot of young guys (18'ish) hit on me and I think they would die if they knew how old I was!

Anyways, I think I do much better in classes than if I did if I were 18. I think over the years, I somehow got smarter... I can concentrate and pay attention much better than when I was younger. I only went to school like 3 hours a day and that was full-time, it didn't interfere with my schedule at all.

I also see a lot of really old people in class so that makes me feel much bette about myself. There was a 50-60 yr old lady in my Anthropology class!

I'm about the same age as phogirl69, sometimes I think I'm to old to go back to school, but I'm going in september

I'm working very hard now to get everything ready. I won't leave this biz, I will make sure everything keeps running smootly with 1 a 2 hour work per day.

I tried this.. when i was 18 I got a fulltime job. Worked for 3 years and went to University for a year and then quit and got into the adult internet.

I found it really hard to put up with bullshit assignments and the like after a few years out in the real world. Its really a whole different mindset.

I am a BIG fan of education...thats great your going back! If you took some time off it will be hard. As long as you study something you really dig, then it should not be that hard for you. If your just going to get a BA, then your in for some boring-ass classes, which will suck if you not used to the "school" thing. My experience with school, was you have to go as often as you can, even if you are bored out of your mind. Grad school is better, 'cause your studying only what you want to. I'd say suck it up, deal with the boredom, and get the degree.

I think the most valuable thing I learned in my 7 years as an undergrad/grad student, was how to be bored, and the experience gave me a high threshold for boredom.

Skills you will use for life.

I've been working fulltime doing my thing but think I'll be going back to school for the bachelors. It's nice making the bucks, but going back to school get's you out of the house/office, which is nice.

People have this notion that you have to go to school to make money, however, it's easy to make money without a college education. I'm not necessarily going back for the "schooling", but just to socialize as well and not feel like a hermit working from home.

Ps, If that didn't make sense, It's because I had a few drinks tonight

I am thinking about going back to school in 1 or 2 years. Getting my masters in accounting/finance... just for the fun/knowledge of it. Shood be not to hard if you're intrested in that kind of stuff.
