Of course, I started that when we had thousands, sometimes tens of thousands in cash and hundreds of credit card impression slips in the office/safe at any one time. That was back when I had the escort agency. But, even though we don't have cash and credit card numbers laying around any more...Atlanta is a rough place.
Good job getting the guy out without letting it get worse. I'm genuinely sorry that this whole thing happened at all and I'm happy that nothing worse happened. But, I can't encourage you more strongly to find out what your local laws are and get yourself at gun. Especially if you're in a neighborhood that's as bad as what people are talking about here.
I've been to Vancouver several times and loved it. It is one of my favorite cities, world wide. I've stayed right next door to the big arena a couple times, right in the heart of downtown and loved it. But there is a HUGE drug culture there and with that comes rampant crime to support the habit.
Guns, negating physical size and lesser weapons for 200 years.
