Eww 1.5g ? I pay like 80 $ internet, 160 $ for my 2 cell phones (I got one at home as a normal phone line and one I carry) .
For the business its a little more expensive ... probably 1000 $ bills monthly .Originally posted by rayadp05I rebooted, deleted temp files, history, cookies and everything...still cannot view the news clip. All I see is that fucking gay ass music video from "Rick Roll". Anyone else have a different link to the news clip?Comment

damn, that's crazy... it's usually about $120 for my landline/dsl and $60 or so for my cell (non convention time).
So $180 on average.Comment

Yeah, but I got a cell with a huge LD plan since I'm always roaming in Canada, US, South America or Europe. Then I got my blackberry for email access when I'm away. Then got my regular phone, and a 1-800 # to my cell for cheap asses, then on top of that I got a t1 frame to the office...shit doesn't come cheap, but it keeps me in touch when I'm really needed.Originally posted by Doctor Dre

$230 a month for mine, GF's and the three kids. Fuck man. I didn't have a cell phone at 7th grade. They didn't even exist back then. Now I'd be a fucking abusive parent to allow my kids to walk to the store without one (for safety's sake).Comment

Cells have gotten ridiculous...the marketing campaign is all targetted towards the youth now, even though most of them are too young to sign the contracts.Originally posted by V_RocKs

Ego,
packet8 will send there unit anywhere in the world, but yes you will only get a usa phone #, but I belive in reading the voip forums at, www.dslreports.com that there are some canadian voip providers already.Last edited by sextoyking; 06-27-2004, 12:34 PM.ICQ: 52344098

Nice to see someone else is taking advantage of VOIP and saving a big chunk of money. I signed up with Packet8 about 3 months ago, and the flat rate $20 per month for unlimited calls anywhere saves me an insane amount of money. I have an 800 voicemail number from ureach.com if anyone needs to reach me, which sends a text to my cell with the number that called, and how long the message is. All in total, I pay about $150 for the internet connection, phone lines (voip & cell) and my 800 voicemail #.Originally posted by sextoyking

I think if I'd go with anybody, it would be Vonage for VoIP...I believe Telus is doing it *somewhat* in Canada. Either way, I'm not at any of my offices enough to use it, my bills all come from my Blackberry & Cell, and the t1 ain't cheap either.Originally posted by sextoyking

My cell is around $40, I only use it when away from home for extended periods of time. Home line is about $30. Cable is about $50. So around $120 for everything.PHAT SERVERS - Quality dedicated hosting at a quality price!

TE, Pun,
good to hear things are going well
with Voip, packet 8 works splendid. you pick up the phone like normal and dial a number, 1-xxx-xxxx
When I goto my office in europe 3-4 times per year, I bring my packet8 adapter from home with me, plug it in the highspeed network in the office there, within 1 minute I now have a usa phone # ringing in europe. Wife / kids can call me anytime for free, and I can call anyone and the office for no charge, 6k miles away

Including internet access??? LOL!!! Well, I dont think it would be fair for me to include internet access as my long distance bill......lets just say that most people could buy a nice, upper-middle class home for what I spend in internet access per month.
(of course, you could buy a decent used car for what we spend in real long distance, too
