Spam works

I've always known it and always done it.

We have a list of people who registered at our site and weekly send them a new sets email and watch the money flow in .

Well last week the guy who does this was doing his final exams, he's at university and works 20 hours a week and so we could not send out our weekly email.

Sales have sucked.

Now don't argue that it's because we have not added any new sets, because when we send out the email people come to buy sets that have been there 4 weeks or even sets from the other site.

So all you whiners moaning about registering and getting our spam please GFY, because getting email addresses and spamming works and I have people to feed here. :winner:

It involves a little more than hitting the send button.

David, our "Spammer", checks the images and videos for quality, colour, etc. before they go on the site, uploads them, prices them, enters them into the database and then compiles the email.

I could do all that, could never have written the program that does it, it would not be done as well and I have other things to do. Like Spam the boards.

But that's what they call it.

I don't think it's spam if it's related to the job I do, for instance an email about a camera is not Spam, it's information.

But then some have a funny view to emails, complain about wasting their time by having to delete them. I suppose it's taking them away from sig whoring.

Oh yes, they reply they want off the list and we delete their account.

I beleive knowledgeble buyers need to know what is around and don't have the time to search for it, so if 10 seconds to scan an email with pictures/samples on is toom much bother they can shop else where.

ALL THOSE THAT COMPLAIN ABOUT HAVING TO REGISTER.

Well we took down the need to register before they could see the samples, guess what?

No noticeable increase in business, even from those who applauded our action and said they would buy. I suppose these guys are too busy sig whoring to register.

So next we we close the doors, you want to see the sets REGISTER.
