best run-around car for under 10k?

used honda accord EX 4cyl. <- best sedan under $10k that I would recommend + it's a nice car with nicely designed interior.

I would go for a used Honda and my second choice would be a Jeep TJ.

The list you put up, will cost you a lot more in repairs.

I cant really say much about these cars, but what I can tell you is make sure you DO NOT get anything made by Mitsubishi. I say this because I've seen many horror stories first hand, and I also heard stories from dudes who work in the shop.

I just got a Civic due to that same logic.

Why fucking pay 10k on a piece of shit chevy or dodge or kia when you could get a good SAFE car that will never need repairs for years to come.

A former salesman from Ford once told me that he would NEVER buy what he was selling. Stick to fucking imports. I believe him. All my friends with american vehicles complain and whine that they are broke. Why? Cause they are always putting money into their pieces of shit. Fucking 3 year old cars that are all falling appart. My Civic is 3 years old, no rust, no mechanical issues and runs just like a 2004. Well worth the $15k CAD we got it for USED instead of money into a car built to only last the term of most leases... IMHO.

I like Nissans, I've had two of them (240sx and 300zx) and both took more abuse then is reasonable to expect from any vehicle.
While those are were both small sports cars, the MAximas have an excellent reputation also. Then there is the Nissan pick-ups and Pathfinder which seem to run forever also.
