You are the one who doesn't get it. If you have no confidence in FHG's as a sales tool, fine: don't make them. But if you are going to make them, what is the benefit for YOU in not making them properly?
Once they are out there, for better or worse, to surfers and webmasters, they say something about YOUR business. There is no more logic in putting out half-assed FHG's than in building half-assed tours.
And you cannot seriously imagine that with hundreds of equally saleable sites to choose from, most affiliates aren't going to choose the ones that give them the most help. That isn't laziness... it's common sense. It's plain bloody silly to work with sponsor A who leaves you to sink or swim on your own, if sponsor B has as good a product and helps you do your job.
