Yep all the audio banners suck ass. As for those that make them, here is my 2 cents and maybe I'm not the only one that does this. Here is what happens when I hit an audio banner by accident with my mouse. I have been so conditioned to stop those anyoing songs, sounds and what not that I hit my scroll wheel within half a second of the sound starting and scroll down to escape the mouse over sound effects. So I never see your banner. Ever. And no curriosity does not get the best of me because the annoying sound effects piss me off and I just go about my reading instead.
I have clicked and checked out a few sharp looking non-sound banners though.
