I disagree.

A lousy typo is one that gets little type-in traffic. The ones referenced all get a large amount of typeins, and are generic so no TM issues. They clearly are big money makers. Translation: they are perpetual revenue streams that won't be taken away from the owner.

It's too bad so many sales go unreported. Although I respect buyers' and sellers' privacy rights, it would be nice to know about all of the big transactions.

I think the encouraging part of all this is that there are plenty of dollars being spent on names to brand, not for traffic or keyword names.
