It wouldn't hurt to buy a few strobes and use a digital SLR. You'd still be able to shoot "amateur" style, but you'd make the model more 3D looking and much more attractive to members.

good, great, greatest and other similar superlatives in front of "photographer" are ALL SUBJECTIVE terms...and I really could care less about what other dudes who CLAIM they are photographers think about my style or your style of shooting.
