I'll take the 20.

I'll take the one. We'll see who makes more money long term with less headaches.
Not to mention the fact that you have to take the time to maintain 20 servers, including pumping in new proxies. Oh and the crack of DM you're using no doubt has a trojan in it, so someone is getting their hands on your emails, hope you don't have any valuable ones. Plus you're not beating any serious filters whatsoever, so you can only reach people who are already bombarded with spam. Oh and every once and a while your service provider is going to figure out what you're doing, and shut your servers down.
You just got into mailing recently, right? Why is it that none of the big boys use DM and proxies, if it's so simple? Trust me when I say this, don't waste your time. I'm sure some guys selling proxies or proxy mailers talked up how great it is, but heed my advice, proxy mailing is nothing but a waste of time. This common knowledge among all old school mailers. Spend the extra money and get a real mailing setup, or you will never build up a steady income. That's why all the proxy mailers always have to try to pawn off shitty software or faked lists to pay their bills.
