He's screwed up many times... no doubt. But none of it, at least it seems to me, has ever been with the intention of screwing over anyone, or taking advantage of anyone. It's always just been very poor judgement on his part.
That doesn't mean he should or shouldn't be given any favors... I guess you just have to evaluate for yourself.... someone who is naive and unaware of proper procedures... do you
a) give them extra breaks, a few do-overs... chances to redeem themselves in the hopes that they will learn.
b) give up hope that they will ever learn... let them go on their way on their own to grow and gain experience... and forget about him.
c) teach him more of a lesson... he's been given breaks already, so give him a hard core lesson that he just can't keep getting away with this stuff.
If it was a clear case of him just being harmful for the sake of being a prick, then the choice would be obvious. In this case, I'm just not sure.
